Egniol recently sponsored a support vehicle for 3 staff from the NSPCC Prestatyn office to cycle from the Prestatyn Service Centre to the Cardiff Service Centre.

They left Prestatyn on Friday 21st of June and arrived in Cardiff on the morning of Monday 24th of June.  The team are not hardened cyclists and decided to take the Cycle Path Wales, which is a very hilly 225 mile route, with the target of completing the route over four days. Sue Riddle from Egniol’s Bangor office travelled with the team as support.

  • Day 1: Prestatyn – Shrewsbury (75 Miles)
  • Day 2: Shrewsbury – Hay-On-Wye (60 Miles)
  • Day 3: Hay-On-Wye – Chepstow (50 Miles)
  • Day 4: Chepstow – Cardiff (40 Miles)

After a 5am start on the final day, the team managed to get to Cardiff just in time for former Welsh Rugby Captain, Sam Warburton, to see them arrive. This was a very welcome sight at the end of some long days!

The NSPCC North Wales Service Centre works to support children and their families who have been abused to re-build their lives.

The PANTs campaign materials also help parents talk to their children about staying safe from abuse.

Mike, Sarah, Cathryn and Sue would like to thank everyone for their support during this challenge.

So far, the team have raised over £2,200 of their £2,500 target. To sponsor them, visit:
