Do you love being hands-on and being outdoors? We are looking for a CQA Intern to join our team to support landfill inspection and compliance projects across the UK ensuring compliance with Environment Agency (EA) requirements.

Don’t worry if you’ve never heard of “CQA” before — it stands for Construction Quality Assurance, and we’ll teach you everything you need to know. You’ll learn from experienced engineers, and inspectors, gain practical skills on-site, and work towards professional qualifications that can kickstart a career in environmental management.

What you will be doing (with plenty of training and support):
– Visiting landfill construction sites and learning how to check the work meets
environmental and safety rules
– Helping collect samples and carry out site investigations
– Learning to write clear reports about what’s happening on site
– Working closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors
– Seeing how large-scale environmental projects are built from the ground up
– Keeping accurate notes and photographs of your work

What we are looking for:
– An interest in how things are built and how we protect the environment
– A willingness to get stuck in — this role includes outdoor work in all weather
– Good attention to detail
– Friendly team player who can also work independently
– Basic computer skills for reports and emails
– A driving licence is required due to site travel

Entry qualifications required:
An OND, ONC, or higher qualification in civil engineering, mining engineering,
geology, building, qauntity surveying, waste management, or science with training in
soil mechanics.

When office attendance is required, employees may work from either our Parc Menai office
in Bangor, North Wales, or our Godlass Road office in Liverpool. Site work will take place
across the UK. Applicants should be based within commuting distance of either the Bangor
or Liverpool office.
